Did my bullet hit your head?
I guess not, I'll shoot again
Did my bullet hit you then?
The crimson stain upon your chest
Does answer my query best
Your cries of anguish fill my ears
A sound I've longed for all these years
You are no use to me alive
Yet, it seems, you survive
I fire again without delay
You collapse, your legs give way
You are broken, not a man
You cannot fight, you cannot stand
I watch you lie there on the floor
Crying out "No more! No more!"
But closer to you I still creep
Never stopping until you sleep
Lying in a pool of red
For then I'll know that you are dead

I'm sane, really!
This was kinda random. I'm not quite sure what inspired this poem of semi-morbidity (I could do worse if I tried, and I will one day), maybe I was just really mad at someone? I wasn't in a good mood at the time, I know that much. Like most of my work so far, this was also written quite a while ago. Except it received some major editing prior to being submitted. |
